PEX plant to Slovenia

Vaduz, April 9, 2021: IFM AG has delivered a plant based on the patented "PEX" technology to Slovenia.
At the end of March 2021, a puffing line consisting of 3 pcs. PEX (B)15 units with a total capacity of approx. 300 t/a finished products was delivered to our license partner in Slovenia. Due to corona-related travel restrictions for installation and commissioning, regular operation there is expected in autumn 2021. At the location in the middle of an apple region mainly crunchy apples will be produced, but also other fruits in small quantities according to the market demand. Our partner is focusing on further refinement of its pre-dried apples (from belt-dryers) with our unique patented "PEX" technology for the higher priced snacks market without ingredients such as sugar, fat and oil.

IFM Instant Food Marketing AG has all rights for the patented "PEX" technology (batch process) and the "PEX(BC)" technology (batch and/or conti process), which has since been further developed, for the production of fruit and vegetable snacks in "cracker quality". In addition, IFM has the know-how of the globally unique "INVAP" (INert-VAcuum-Puffing) process, which was developed in recent years specifically for processing highly sticky fruits that tend to oxidize - such as bananas. The trademark „Kräkkme“ can also be used exclusively by IFM AG. Further license partners are being sought worldwide.
